What if the messages we encountered every day inspired us to care for one another?
In 2009, I spent over 3 hours each day riding buses and subways to and from work. Everywhere I looked, I was surrounded by advertisements competing for my attention. Many were built on fear, urgency, or the feeling that I wasn't enough.
I remember wondering what would happen if, instead of being constantly reminded of what to buy or what to worry about, we were gently invited to notice the good in one another. What if the world offered more reminders to slow down, smile at a stranger, help a neighbor, or choose kindness? That question stayed with me.
Over the years, the idea quietly grew. It became a dream of creating something that could spread hope from person to person; not through grand gestures, but through simple acts of care that anyone could offer.
Life became wonderfully full. I became a mother. Like many parents, I discovered that my heart wanted to give far more than my time and energy could realistically allow. I realized I couldn't personally touch every life I hoped to. But perhaps, together, we could...
Love's Magic Field was created as an invitation.
An invitation to notice one another.
To celebrate kindness.
To share stories that remind us of what's possible.
To create a living map of the moments when people choose love.
The kindness cards are simply one way those invitations travel from one person to the next. Each card carries a story that continues to grow as it changes hands, connecting strangers through small acts of generosity and care.
Whether a card found you, or you simply found your way here, you are already part of this story. So, Thank you for your beautiful presence here.
Love's Magic Field is also the title of my magical, meditative children's book.
I wrote it to help children and the grown-ups who love them to slow down, connect with their hearts, with others, and the world around them; remembering that love is always present when we give it our attention.
If this project resonates with you, I hope you'll enjoy sharing the cards and/or the book with someone you love, and perhaps even begin your own chapter in Love's Magic Field.
